McKinnonSecondaryCollegeisayear7to12co-educationalschoolwithastudentpopulationofover1400.TheCollegewasfoundedin1954inthesoutheasternMelbournesuburbofMcKinnon.Ithasdevelopedaproudreputationforacademicexcellenceandinstrumentalmusicperformance.Thecollegeisconsistentlyoneofthebest-performingnon-selectivegovernmentschoolsinVictoria.

Thereareconsistentlymoreapplicationsforentrytoyear7thanplacesavailable.Inrecentyearstherehavebeen100moreapplicationsforyearseventhanplacesavailable.MoststudentswhoattendMcKinnonaspiretouniversity.Over50%ofourstudentsparticipateintheinstrumentalmusicprogram.
