TheSchoolmaintainsstronglinkswiththeClanCampbellofScotland. BoththesuburbandtheschooltaketheirnamefromRobertCampbellwhosettledtheareaintheearly1820s. TheCampbellheritagecoloursofblue,green,whiteandyellowarereflectedintheuniform,colourcodeandindividualhousecolours. ThefourhousesarenamedafterprominentAustralianswithsignificanteducationlinks-Daley,Dickson,LindandStephens.

AsenrolmentsdrawfromacrosstheACTandNSW,arangeofdiagnosticasses*entsinliteracyandnumeracyareusedatthestartoftheyeartoensureteachershaveacomprehensiveunderstandingofeachstudent’sstrengthsandneedsintheseareas. Year7studentsareplacedintodifferentclassgroupingsfortheirvariouscourses.StudentswhoareidentifiedasneedingadditionalsupportinliteracyandnumeracyhavetheopportunitytoparticipateinCampbellHighSchool’sExcelprogramwhichoperatesacrossEnglish,Mathematics,ScienceandSoSE.

InthecoresubjectsofEnglish,Mathematics,ScienceandSoSE,classesarestructuredtoprovideopportunitiesforstudentstobeextendedandinMathematicsanextensionclassisoffered.Students'progressi*onitoredthroughouttheyearandadjustmentstoplacementsaremadewhennecessary.

Years9and10

Asstudentsprogressintheirlearninginyears9and10,opportunitiesareprovidedtopursueinterestsandspecialisation.However,theyear9and10programstillguaranteescontinuingprogramsoflearninginthefollowingcoreareas:

StudentsarealsorequiredtostudyatleastoneunitoftechnologyandoneunitfromTheArtsoverthetwoyears.Awiderangeofelectiveunitsareofferedin:

TheArts,Design&Technology,InformationTechnology,Languages-FrenchorJapanese,SoSE,PersonalDevelopment,HealthandPE.

TherearenominimumrequirementsinLanguages. Inmostelectiveunitstherearecombinedyear9/10classes.Theexpertiseofstaffdetermineswhichunitswillbeoffered.Studentdemanddetermineswhichclasseswillactuallyrun,asclasssize*ustbesufficienttoensureviability.

Adetailedhandbookdescribingtheyear9/10electivesisprovidedtostudentsduringterm3 toassisttheminmakingtheirelectivechoicesforthefollowingyear.
