BallajuraCommunityCollege,whichcommencedoperationsin1995,hasgrownfromaninitialenrolmentof650studentstoanenrolmentfor2008of1940students(years7-12). ItisthelargestschoolinWesternAustraliaandpossiblyAustraliaaswell.Itisaschoolwhichisinnovativeinbothstructureandinoperation. Thecollegewelcomesthecommunitytocontributeasactivepartnersinitseducational,sporting,culturalandrecreationalprograms.

PhysicalStructure

Thecollegeiscomprisedoftwocampuses,deliveringcomprehensiveeducationprogramsintwodistinctphases. TheseareaMiddleSchoolcampusforYears7to9andtheSeniorCampu*eetingtheneedsofstudentsfromYears10to12.Thecampusesareseparatedbytheschoolovalandothersportingfacilities.Theschoolbuildingswereplannedoveranumberofstagestodealwithanexpectedpeakenrolmentofapproximately2000students.Someofthefacilitiesaresharedbetweenthetwocampuses. TheseincludetheTechnologyblock,gymnasium,DramaroomandDancestudioaswellassomespecialistfacilitiesintheVisualArtsblocksuchastheceramicsstudio. StageIVofthebuildingprogram,whichwasfinalisedduring2001,sawtheopeningofaPerformingArtsCentre,anextensiontothegymnasium,theMaterialsTechnologyCentreandtherefurbishmentofthetemporaryDramaroomandtheTieredLearningArea. Thesefacilitieshaveaddedvaluetotheschool'sprograms.
