PlanningforMoorebankHighSchoolbeganin1971tomeettheneedsoftheMoorebank,HammondvilleandChippingNortongrowthareas.Itwasn’tuntiltheMayholidaysof1975howeverthattheschoolwasreadytobeoccupied.Atthebeginningoftermtwostaffandstudent*ovedintothepresentschoolpremises,withMr.B.T.O'DonnellasthefoundingSchoolPrincipal.InJune1985,tocoincidewiththeopeningoftheschooltenniscourts,theschoolwasofficiallyopenedbythethenMinisterofEducation,Mr.R.M.Cavalier.
Asaco-educationalhighschoolcateringforstudentsfromYears7to12,theschoolaimstoprovideabalancededucationalprograminacaringandhappyenvironment.Itstrivestopromoteanatmosphereofmutualrespect,co-operationandconsiderationinwhichstudentscanincreasinglydevelopasenseofpersonalresponsibility.
